Aktivitas nokturnal Aedes (Stegomyia) aegypti dan Ae. (Stg) albopictus (Diptera : Culicidae) di berbagai daerah di Kalimantan

Abstract


Demam berdarah, zika, demam kuning dan chikungunya meningkatkan kekhawatiran kesehatan masyarakat global karena penyebaran geografisnya yang cepat dan meningkatnya beban penyakit. Pengetahuan tentang aktivitas menghisap darah pada malam hari (nokturnal) Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albopictus di beberapa daerah di Kalimantan perlu diketahui. Nyamuk Aedes ditangkap dengan metoda human landing collection dari pukul 18:00 sampai 06:00 di dalam dan di luar rumah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas mengisap darah nyamuk Ae. aegypti dan Ae. albopictus terjadi sepanjang malam dari pukul 18:00 sampai 06:00 baik di dalam maupun di luar rumah di Desa Pulau Ku’u, Kabupaten Tabalong, Kalimantan Selatan (2011), Desa Bangkal Ulu, Kabupaten Kutai Timur, Kalimantan Timur (2012), Desa Dadahup dan Kelurahan Mandomai, Kabupaten Kapuas, Kalimantan Tengah (2015), dan Desa Antaraya dan Desa Karyajadi, Kabupaten Barito Kuala, Kalimantan Selatan (2016). Fakta tersebut menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas menghisap darah nyamuk Ae. aegypti dan Ae. albopictus tidak hanya terjadi di siang hari tetapi juga malam hari.
