STMicroelectronics , a leading supplier of semiconductor devices to the mobile industry, will demonstrate its full range of products and solutions for the cellular market at the 3GSM World Congress 2005 in Cannes. The ST stand hosts an exciting interplay of industry-leading products, covering all aspects of today's mobile communications, from advanced application processing to the latest embedded cameras and market-proven memory products.

ST's Application Processing demos are built around Nomadik, the most innovative application processors family on the market for mobile multimedia. Based on an award-winning architecture with distributed processing on smart audio/video accelerators, STA[acute accent]s Nomadik application processors enable portable terminals to play music, take pictures, record video, and host real-time video communications, while reducing power consumption to a fraction of that of competing products.

The latest members of the Nomadik family, coupled with ST's SMIA-compliant mega-pixel mobile camera chipset, perform synchronized video (MPEG4) and audio (AAC) encoding and decoding on a high-quality VGA display. Through a pair of smartglasses, projecting images on the inner side of the lenses, 3GSM visitors can experience live video in the brightest daylight thanks to the Nomadik platform.

Nomadik's processing power is highlighted in a triple-task demo, where 3D graphics, QVGA video, stereo digital audio, and Bluetooth transmission run simultaneously on a multimedia terminal based on the very latest Symbian OS v9. 3D Graphics are rendered by the popular HI Corp. Mascot Capsule middleware.

In the area of Connectivity, ST presents its advanced solutions for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi communication, in addition to a single-chip FM Radio Tuner.

The wireless headset demo is based on ST's fully integrated single-chip Bluetooth device, the STLC2500, rated with the world's lowest power consumption in its class. The set-up demonstrates Headset and Object Push Profiles, as well as the exchange of vCards over the Object Exchange (OBEX) Protocol.

ST's latest WLAN chipset, the STLC8000, certified for all current WiFi encoding standards (802.11a/b/g), performs simultaneous operation and prioritization of three key functions: Voice over WiFi, DVD-quality video streaming, and high-rate data transmission.

ST's FM radio tuner, with an embedded RDS decoder, has been especially designed to meet the requirements of handset manufacturers offering a small- size, low-power, highly integrated design with a minimum number of external parts.

The demos highlighting ST's strengths in Mobile Peripherals include CMOS image sensors, display and white LED drivers, and MEMS accelerometers.

A world leader in CMOS imaging technology, ST will showcase in Cannes two of its latest mobile camera kits: the market's first mega-pixel camera chipset, compliant with the Standard Mobile Imaging Architecture (SMIA), and a cost-optimized, single-chip VGA camera module for high-volume mobile applications.

ST's LCD and OLED (Organic Light Emitting Display) display drivers provide high response rates and superior power control at low bill-of-material cost. The demo shows a full-motion 30fps (frames per second) video on various display screen sizes and types.

ST's latest White LED driver has been designed to effectively control power-hungry White LEDs in color display backlights and embedded camera flashguns. The part can drive up to four LEDs in series from a 2.8V battery voltage, while offering a conversion efficiency rate above 80%.

Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) open new possibilities for man- machine interaction in mobile applications. ST's MEMS demo employs a 3-axis accelerometer inside a Symbian Smart Phone for motion-activated scrolling and navigation on the phone display.

As a recognized leader in Non-Volatile Memories and Smartcard ICs, ST will be demonstrating its advanced 32-bit secure microcontroller chips for SIM Card applications and a new set of security features for NOR Flash memory devices.

Last year, ST shipped its 10 millionth 32-bit ST22 Smartcard IC to the mobile industry. This year's demonstration illustrates the technology behind the award winning ST22 family, including its Java-accelerated 32-bit RISC architecture, large capacity memories and high-speed connectivity, essential for use in the latest 3G multimedia phones. Highlights include embedded Flash (ST22FJ1M - 1-Mbyte) or EEPROM (ST22N256 - 256-kbytes) memories, full speed USB (ST22T064) and contactless connectivity.

ST Krypto(TM) introduces a new set of security features for protecting access to data on a NOR Flash memory. The system shows how to prevent unauthorized operations such as reading, duplicating or modifying sensitive firmware, or part of it.

In the Accessories demo area, ST showcases its complete reference designs for Bluetooth-connected hands-free car kit and Bluetooth speakers.

ST's ready-to-use Bluetooth hands-free car kit fits into a rear-view- mirror casing. The state-of-the-art solution for wireless mobile connectivity on the road supports echo cancellation and noise suppression for clear in-car conversation, as well as speech recognition for voice-activated operation.

The Bluetooth (BT) speakers reference design combines ST's two-chip BT v1.2 set with an audio codec device from the STA02x chipset family. With the support for both SBC (Sub-Band Coding) and eSBC(TM) compression algorithms, the solution enables low-latency, CD-quality streaming audio applications in wireless personal area networks (PAN).

Jurnal Kefarmasian Indonesia is a scientific journal published by the Center for Research and Development of Biomedical and Basic Health Technology, Board of Health Research and Development, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The journal publishes original research articles in pharmaceutical science such as Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Traditional Medicines, and Pharmaceutical Care.

The journal was established in 2009 while online publication has been started from 2015. The journal is published in Bahasa Indonesia and English.  Jurnal Kefarmasian Indonesia is biannual, open access, peer-reviewed, and online pharmacy journal. Jurnal Kefarmasian Indonesia aims to serve the updated scientific knowledge for researchers in pharmaceutical fields. There is no charge for submitted manuscript as well as for processing manuscript. The journal has been registered with e-ISSN 2354-8770, and p-ISSN 2085-675X and accredited by Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) with Decree No. 581/Akred/P2MI/LIPI/09/2014.
